The Journey may not have been as exciting as the Cover may make it seem, but a Journey well worth the time.  I have found that I love the quest, so much so that I do not want to leave a location to move onto the next.  There is the feeling that there is a species that has been left behind.  So be it, it will be there on the next Journey.

Our Quest for the Opuntia and other Cacti began West of San Antonio at Uvalde and led us to Del Rio, Lake Amistad, then Southward near the Mexican Border to Eagle Pass, Laredo and Zapata.  Near Zapata, we had to make an about face at the request of US Border Patrol and  we then realized we needed to re-route and bypass Rio Grande City because we were out of time.

Follow the below links as I have posted photos from the Journey...the only Temples that we may have found were the Cacti Hot Spots abundant in new species and of course, to walk through the Waters of Chiltipin Creek.
