What La Reina Observed:
I called this one "Pickles" because that is just what it reminded me of. The few pods that I harvested grew to 6-7". There were a very unusual green with what appeared to be a slight "Jello-like" transparency. The pods acquired black splotching, I thought at first to be "suntan" but I have one "winter" pod with the same splotching. This disappeared as the pods matured and ripened. The plant grew to 6' tall and erect and the branches were surely weighted down by the monster pods. Sadly, I harvested very few pods in the first season. Very long season. Seems to be tolerant of the cool weather, with one pod on the plant as of Feb 2004. Pods ripened to a vibrant orange yellow. Most pods were pendent, but a couple had a crooked tendency. Few and very small seeds for the size of the plant and pod.
Flavor & Heat:
Pods are medium-thick flesh with the typical fruity baccatum aroma and flavor. Excellent heat, flavor and aroma, but varied among the pods.

I would grow this one again.
